Spring is an open-source Java framework used by developers around the world. The goal of the redesign was to modernize the website while targeting a new, more diverse audience. Initial wireframe sketching was done in Miro, so input could be collected from stakeholders in different time-zones.

Because spring.io is a community-driven open source site, we were careful to avoid an overly corporate look. The visual identity needed to easily extend to other applications such as print, events, signage, etc.
